Inside Our Latest Custom Mannequin Project

Some projects stick with you. Our recent work with one of Australia’s most iconic department stores was one of them.

As the Australian partner for Window France, one of the world’s leading mannequin manufacturers, we were engaged to design and customise a bespoke mannequin collection for their floor. It’s the kind of brief we’re built for.

We sourced premium velvet fabrics with a texture that shifts under retail lighting, moving between matte and a soft sheen depending on the angle. Every exposed surface was then custom-painted to match the exact dye lot of each fabric — because a collection only reads as cohesive when the details line up.

Head styles were chosen for the quiet character they bring to a display, and the bases finished in a warm brass — a deliberate contrast to the softness of the velvet.

Before anything reaches the shop floor, every mannequin goes through a thorough quality check — reviewing pose, finish, and consistency across the full set. It’s the step that makes sure what the client approved is what actually arrives on site.

The final collection reads as one piece — considered, tactile, and built for a space where presentation is everything.
